At MPI-Rwanda, we are dedicated to championing the interests of the Rwandan film industry both at home and on the global stage. Through targeted promotional efforts and advocacy for supportive policies, we strive to foster an environment that nurtures growth, innovation, and sustainability within the industry.

Domestic Promotion

Our promotional activities within Rwanda are geared towards raising awareness about the importance of the film industry and its potential for economic and cultural development. Through partnerships with local stakeholders, educational institutions, and community organizations, we organize events, screenings, and outreach programs to engage audiences and highlight the contributions of the film industry to society.

International Outreach

On the international front, MPI-Rwanda works tirelessly to promote Rwandan cinema to a global audience. By participating in film festivals, industry events, and trade missions, we showcase the talent and creativity of Rwandan filmmakers, attract international interest and investment, and foster collaboration with industry partners from around the world.

Advocacy for Supportive Policies

Central to our mission is advocating for policies that support the growth and sustainability of the film industry. We engage with policymakers, legislators, and government agencies to promote initiatives that provide funding, incentives, and regulatory frameworks conducive to the development of the industry. By advocating for supportive policies, we aim to create an enabling environment that empowers filmmakers, stimulates economic growth, and promotes cultural exchange.

Strengthening the Industry Ecosystem

MPI-Rwanda recognizes that a thriving film industry requires a supportive ecosystem that encompasses production, distribution, exhibition, and talent development. As such, we advocate for initiatives that strengthen the entire value chain of the industry, from funding programs and infrastructure development to training initiatives and market access opportunities.
